the good thing🦕

Turns out humans have already described more than one million insect species. Already too many leg. Already too many wing. And yet science people say that may be only small slice of the bug buffet.

One global estimate put insect diversity around 5.5 million species. So when man hear 2 million, man actually feel calmer, because somehow that number is not even the wild guess. Bug situation could be much buggier.

They live in forest canopy, desert sand, river stone, garden soil, and probably one suspicious corner of your shed. Tiny body. Serious work ethic. No LinkedIn post about it.

Some bugs pollinate food. Some recycle dead plant stuff. Some become dinner for birds, frogs, and lizards. Whole planet run on many small crunchy employee nobody ever properly thanked.

Brain like that humans still do not know exact total. Means world still has mystery left in it. Means you can look under one log and meet an entire civilisation nobody told you about.
